[ THE_PROBLEM ]

Why this existed

The clever part of a developer tool is maybe a fifth of the work. Billing, API keys, quotas, admin and an editor integration are the rest, and they decide whether it is a business.

[ WHAT_WE_BUILT ]

What we built

A complete SaaS shell around a generation engine: marketing site, auth with password reset, a user dashboard with usage and credits, API key management, a versioned public API, and an admin area with a content editor for hero, features, FAQ and footer, plus user management, usage analytics and an audit log. Paired with a VS Code extension exposing the same generation in a sidebar.

[ COMMON_QUESTIONS ]

Questions clients ask

Why build the admin content editor?

Because marketing copy changes weekly and engineering time is expensive. If updating the hero headline needs a deploy, either the copy stops improving or engineers become copywriters. Neither is good.

Why ship both a web product and an IDE extension?

Because developers evaluate in the browser and use in the editor. A product that lives only in one place loses either the evaluation or the daily habit.

What is usually underestimated in a developer SaaS?

Quota enforcement and key rotation. They seem trivial until you have paying customers, at which point retrofitting them touches every request path.
