Outbound Prospect Research Assistant

2025Growth & Lead GenerationCapability

What it is

A guided six-step flow from a prospect name to a drafted, researched email.

[ THE_PROBLEM ]

Why this existed

Genuine prospect research takes fifteen minutes per lead and nobody does it at volume. So outbound goes out generic, and response rates reflect that.

[ WHAT_WE_BUILT ]

What we built

Intake, automated research, generated discovery questions, web-grounded Q&A about the prospect, exactly six tailored service proposals, a matched case study and an email draft ready to send. Every output renders with its source list — and explicitly labels the list as empty when nothing was found, rather than quietly implying research happened. Progress, step checklist and a run log are visible throughout; state persists across navigation.

[ HOW_IT_IS_USED ]

How a company uses it

A salesperson spends fifteen minutes on genuine research per prospect instead of ninety seconds skimming LinkedIn — at a volume that would otherwise need a research analyst.

[ COMMON_QUESTIONS ]

Questions clients ask

Why label empty source lists instead of hiding them?

Because a missing source list implies research happened. If nothing was found, the salesperson needs to know that before they send an email built on an assumption. Silently omitting it is the kind of small dishonesty that makes a tool untrustworthy.

Does the output need editing before sending?

Yes, and it should. The tool compresses research and drafting, not judgement. The realistic gain is a salesperson spending two minutes editing a well-researched draft instead of fifteen minutes researching from scratch or zero minutes and sending something generic.

Why exactly six proposals?

A constraint that forces prioritisation. Unbounded generation produces a list nobody reads; a fixed count makes the model choose. The specific number is less important than having one.
